Original Sin

It's not just for Christians anymore

While reading a report that Hilary Clinton in an interview linked the flooding in Pakistan and the wild fires in Russia to "Global Climate Change", it occurred to me that environmentalism is much like a religion. People are the problem is the mantra of the day, from even the most mainstream "green" groups. Not unlike the self loathing and guilt that led to the formation of countless religions, the environmentalist hates humans from birth. This original sin that is carried with every human being that has ever or will ever walk the earth is the driving philosophy behind most enviro-facist organizations. If we could just get rid of all the people the earth would be better. But how would they know? There would be no one to see it and attest to the health of the earth. Guilt is the cornerstone of their mission statement. It allows them to extort money from governments, corporations, and individuals alike. In some religions, answers are sought through a very bias process. When environmentalists are questioned by non-believers, the believers dismiss them summarily based on what they will tell you is fact, or settled science but really is nothing more then their own "faith" in the belief that the planet must be dying and it's all humans fault. When you ask a die hard Christian why infants die of awful diseases if there is a merciful God in heaven, they will say it was his will or maybe even say it was some fault of the parents or society. If you ask a enviro-facist why the earth seems to be cooling or at the very least extremely stable, they will point to faulty bias reports, or one isolated part of the arctic that happened to be warmer recently.

The evolution of organized religions over the centuries are evident in fractured denominations as a result of varying beliefs and justifications for differing interpretations of scripture and past events. The same is true with environmentalists. There are many groups from the most extreme to the "feel good" Prius driving vegetarian. Billions of dollars are being spent not on worthy projects but on propaganda. Huge Churches, Mosques, and Synagogues are built all over the world on some of the most sought after real estate around. Not to house the homeless or provide research for the sick, but to propagate their beliefs and advertise to the communities in which they are built. Money spent on bumper sticker logic, frivolous law suits, TV commercials, and courting politicians does not plant one tree or save one gallon of gas. The individual that buys a Prius to help save the earth does so to satisfy their guilt for being a human being. The church goer that drops a $20 dollar bill in the collection plate feels relief that they are making amends for their weeks worth of sinning.

I for one refuse to kneel before the alter built of entirely recycled materials and pray to the "no growth" Green God of almighty false data. I refuse to feel the long arm of original sin and conform to the collective guilt that is environmentalism. I refuse to stop exhaling my CO2 to feed the trees. I prefer to look with my own eyes at the vast wide open spaces in this country that are virtually as pristine as they were hundreds of years ago. I will continue to marvel at the beauty around me whether it be man made or not. I can extrapolate from data derived from my own observations, that we are doing pretty good. If you really want a better world take the perceived savings the Toyota Prius commercial told you would realize and give it to a worthy cause like saving humans, not hating them.

In Liberty and Tyranny by Mark Levin, Mark spends pages listing the hundreds of preposterous consequences of Global Warming made by scientists, enviro-facists, politicians and others. Like Hilary this week, these claims are as fantastic an contradictory as not only the origins of some ancient religious beliefs but are in some cases just plain silly.
